‘Grand Theft Auto V’ confirmed for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC

Grand Theft Auto V - The Trunk

On June 9th, Rockstar Games announced after months or rumor and speculation that GTA V is getting the next gen treatment!

“Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC…” Rockstar stated on their website announcement, “…with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail.”

Some of the improvements that Rockstar said would come in the next gen and PC ports include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects and “an array of new details to discover.”

Of course, it’s not just GTA V itself coming over, but Grand Theft Auto Online as well. Players will be able to either start from scratch or transfer their GTA Online characters and progression to their choice of PS4, Xbox One or PC.

GTA V’s PC port will also feature an in-game video editor for use in fan videos and machinima (the use of computer and video games to create animated films).

Grand Theft Auto V will be coming out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One this fall, though an official date has not been set at this time. Rockstar is currently taking preorders through Rockstar Warehouse.
